structure fire at the Elizabeth Sinkler residence at 110 Cackletown
Rd. Narrowsburg was assisted at the scene by Lava, Lake
Huntington, Welcome Lake, Beach Lake, Callicoon, Honesdale, and
Tusten Ambulance with Yulan, Hortonville, Kenoza Lake and White
Mills on standby. This residence was home to 4 handicapped
individuals in addition to Mrs. Sinkler. Everyone escaped
without injury, although one bystander was treated for an injured
ankle and transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital. The fire was
caused by a discarded cigarette by one of the handicapped
individuals. The four residents are staying at Kelly's Home
for Adults and Mrs. Sinkler is staying with friends. |
