The New York State Police was dispatched to a school
bus vs. dump truck motor vehicle accident. There
were no students on the bus; the only people involved
were the two drivers. NYSP arrived on scene and
remained there for about a half an hour without
calling for any assistance. Assistant Chief
Michael Kelly came upon the scene and called for
Narrowsburg FD to be dispatched for traffic control
and washdown. NYSP advised that there were no
injuries, so no EMS was dispatched, however NFD found
out after the call that neither driver was ever asked
if they wanted an ambulance.
